Match the two weighings correctly

Gross is loaded total weight; tare is the corresponding empty weight; net is their difference. In a two-pass transaction, associate the first and second weighing with one transaction identifier. Plate, vehicle and material data support matching, but a plate alone is not a sufficient identifier for every workflow. Cancellation and correction records should preserve the preceding measurement.

Example: an unmatched first weighing

In an illustrative record, 50 t gross and a verified 20 t tare yield 30 t net. If the second weighing is missing, the system must not present an estimated tare as an actual measurement. Mark the transaction as pending and check stability and vehicle position before accepting a reading. These numbers illustrate data flow, not scale capacity or accuracy.

Integration, permissions and scope

Keep the same transaction identifier when exporting to an ERP or dispatch system; retries should not create another commercial record. Track manual changes by user, time and reason. Limit access and retention needs for plate and personal data. Assess commercial weighing verification separately. A static weighbridge application does not automatically qualify for weighing vehicles in motion.
